Durham Bike Month 2020

Click Here to read our response to COVID-19

May is National Bike Month, sponsored by the League of American Bicyclists (LAB) and celebrated in communities from coast to coast. Established in 1956, National Bike Month is a chance to showcase the many benefits of bicycling and to encourage more people to give biking a try. Since we can’t celebrate as we usually would with in-person events and group rides, Bike Durham is planning a variety of hybrid and virtual events to build community, support biking and walking, and have fun during this challenging time.

Check out our Events Calendar and follow our Facebook events page for all upcoming activities, keep scrolling to see how you can celebrate Bike Month in Durham!

  • We also welcome volunteers who want to help out with Bike Durham events once things return somewhat to normal, such as leading rides, tabling at events, and more. Click below to fill out the volunteer survey:

Durham Bike Month is planned in collaboration with Bike Durham volunteers, staff from the City of Durham, the Durham-Chapel Hill-Carrboro MPO, North Carolina Central University, Duke University, and the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission.
