Sean Egan - City of Durham

Since moving to Durham in 2019, I commute by bike (when not teleworking) to my job at City Hall in the Department of Transportation. I'm not able to fundraise, but hope to use this opportunity to share the work the City is doing to develop a multimodal transportation network that prioritizes the needs of vulnerable users who walk, roll and ride (bikes & transit) in our city, such as the addition of eight miles of new bike lanes this year. My favorite bike rides are the ones I take with my two kids on the "Bunch Bike" - our family cargo bike that we use to go to and from preschool, church, the swimming pool, and other destinations around town such as Cornwallis Road Park and Duke Gardens.

Ronnie Rozbox - TWIG Durham

Hey! A few folks from the Durham Bike Coop, and Bike Durham have banded together to heavily focus on and build out our Twig Community (Trans, Women, Intersex, and Gender nonconforming) to strengthen our riding and mechanic skills and watch out for each other on the road. I am always looking for my next pizza.

Niles Barnes - East Coast Greenway

Niles's passion for biking runs deep, from racing bmx as a youth, to bike touring in college, to not owning a car and riding for transportation, to entering the occasional gravel race, he loves to do it all - specialization is for insects!

Justin Laidlaw - Bike Durham

My name is Justin Laidlaw. I’m a writer and podcaster. I run a multimedia brand called Buddy Ruski. I fly the flag of Bike Durham. My goal is to dominate the competition in honor of all the brave bikers who have come before me.

Mason Manis - Durham Bike Co-op

I come from a long lineage of bicyclists dating back to the early 12th century AD. It is in my bones. I enjoy riding with a trailer of ducks in tow to avoid fowl play with cars.
