Do you already know how to ride a bike, but aren’t confident enough to ride in the streets? This class is for you! You will learn the basics of urban bike commuting, route planning, local bike infrastructure, and have the opportunity to apply it in the streets of Durham. Our instructors carefully plan a route (5-7 miles with breaks) to help you learn about navigating traffic, Durham’s bike infrastructure, and everything you need to ride confidently in the city.
Ride Durham is the natural progression for students who attended the Ready to Ride class, but we welcome all participants who can already ride comfortably.
