Sidewalk Bond Voter Education Fundraiser ends!

  • Bike Durham Durham, NC USA (map)

Bike Durham is committed to making our streets safer for everyone whether biking, walking, or using transit. The upcoming $115 Million sidewalk and street resurfacing bond referendum on the November ballot is an important opportunity for realizing this vision. We need to raise $50,000 to educate our city’s voters on the specifics of the bond ahead of the election. Right now, with $35,000 from the transit center and $2,500 from Allison Simpson (widow of Matt Simpson who was killed riding his bike in July 2022), we are almost three quarters of the way to our goal.

Your support will enable us to invest in this essential work and ensure safer streets for everyone in Durham. Every contribution counts and brings us closer to our goal. Join us in this urgent effort.

  • $50 will pay for a presentation to a neighborhood organization

  • $100 will pay for phone calls to 50 voters
