The COVID-19 pandemic and the Stay-at-Home orders in Durham and around the world have had a profound effect on all of us, but in different ways. Old East Durham resident and community activist Aidil Ortiz, will share her perspective on how travel has changed in Durham. Dr. Tab Combs, Research Associate at the UNC-Chapel Hill Department of City and Regional Planning, will share what she has learned from the data she's collecting on how communities are reacting with policies/street space interventions. Warren Logan, Policy Director of Mobility and Inter Agency Relations for the Office of the Mayor in Oakland, will share the Oakland experience implementing Slow Streets and engaging the community.
