It’s time to turn vision into reality.

This Giving Tuesday, we’re asking you to build on the bold step you took at the ballot box. By passing the Connecting Durham bonds, you made a powerful statement about the kind of city we can create together: one with streets that prioritize safety, accessibility, and connection for all. That vote wasn’t just a decision—it was the start of a movement. Your Giving Tuesday donation helps transform bonds into action, creating safer sidewalks, protected bike lanes, and transit routes that work for everyone.

Every dollar you give fuels this work, from advocating for people-first infrastructure to rallying community support for lasting change. Together, we can reimagine our streets as places where everyone belongs.

What is our goal this year FOR giving tuesday?

In six months, GoDurham—the last remaining fare-free transit system in the Triangle—could reintroduce fares. For many, that would mean losing not just a bus ride but a vital connection to their city. Looking ahead, we’re channeling the momentum of this year’s wins into our next goal: keeping GoDurham fare-free in 2025. Fare-free transit isn’t just a convenience; it’s a promise. It’s a bus that takes a parent to work, a student to class, or a neighbor to a doctor’s appointment—without barriers.

Your Giving Tuesday contribution helps us keep that promise alive. It fuels the canvassing, the organizing, and the advocacy that remind everyone what’s at stake: a city where mobility isn’t a privilege, but a right. Together, we can protect fare-free transit and show what happens when a community prioritizes people over profit.

This Giving Tuesday, we’re aiming to raise $2,500 as part of our year-end goal of $55,000—a foundation for the work ahead. Every dollar fuels our fight to keep GoDurham fare-free, advocate for safer streets, and create a city where transit and infrastructure connect us all equitably. With your support, we can meet this moment and turn momentum into lasting change for Durham.

Donate to Giving Tuesday now and help us work toward keeping Durham transit fare-free, equitable, accessible, and safe for all.
